- Prepare sterilized equipment.
- Clean the wound area with an antiseptic solution.
- Clean the area around the wound.
Clean and dress the wound.
- Clean the wound with saline solution.
- Wipe clean with disinfectant.
- Apply ointment as needed.
- Cover the wound with sterile gauze.
Provide care instructions.
- How to care for wounds at home.
- Observe for any unusual symptoms.
- Schedule the next wound dressing appointment.
