Wegovy (semaglycide) is a GLP-1 inhibitor drug approved by the Thai FDA. It is suitable for weight loss in individuals with a high body mass index (BMI) or those who wish to lose weight due to co-existing risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol. The drug works by controlling appetite and promoting satiety.

Wegovy is available in Thailand in several dosages: 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, 1.7 mg, and 2.4 mg (injected once weekly). A low dose is usually started and gradually increased as advised by a doctor to help minimize side effects and maximize weight loss effectiveness.
