Can I get lip fillers if I have thick lips?

Lip fillers can be used, but for patients with already thick lips, the doctor will need to assess their specific needs first.

1. If you want to add fullness – in cases where you already have thick lips – the doctor recommends being cautious about adding more filler, as it may look unnatural. Unless it's a style you personally prefer and you want thick, full lips, then we need to discuss that beforehand.
2. If you want to reshape your features – we can use fillers to enhance the appearance, for example:
   • Adjust the symmetry of the lips.
   • Enhance the definition of the lip contour.
   • Lift the corners of your mouth

In particular, if a patient desires a cupid's bow lip, bird's wing lip, or the currently popular "Mazda lip" shape, I would advise that filler injections may not be the best option. In this case, lip reduction surgery might be a better choice, as it allows for customizable shaping and provides more permanent results.
