Is Endolift any good? Why is it so expensive?

Today, one of my regular patients sent me news about a new program called Endolift, which is currently very popular among her friends. Since she's always interested in and keeps up with the latest trends in skincare and facial lifting, I'd like to summarize some important information about Endolift for everyone.

Endolift is a non-surgical laser facial lifting innovation that uses a 1470nm wavelength laser. This laser has the advantage of directly penetrating the fat layer, helping to both dissolve fat and tighten the skin simultaneously. It can be used to tighten skin on both the face and other parts of the body.

The advantages of Endolift are:

  • No surgery required, minimal pain.
  • A very small needle is used to introduce the laser into the skin.
  • Recovery is quick; you can return to normal life in 1-3 days.
  • No scars.
  • The results will depend on each individual's situation. We'll have to wait and see, just like with every new program.

But I have to be honest with you, every treatment has its limitations. This applies to Endolift as well.

  • The effects last for about 1-2 years.
  • The price is quite high.
  • Repeat procedures may be necessary to maintain results, because even a facelift will eventually cause your face to sag and droop with age.

This information is for informational purposes only and is not intended to recommend any specific innovation/technology. Please schedule an appointment with a doctor for a detailed assessment and advice.

Who is Endolift suitable for?

  • I have mild to moderate skin sagging.
  • I want results that look natural.
  • There's no time for a long recovery.
  • I'm afraid of surgery.

What are some similar programs?

Similar skin tightening devices on the market include the following:

Ultherapy/Ultherapy/Ulthera Prime

  • Uses HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology.
  • Focuses on deep skin lifting and firming.
  • The results last for 1-2 years.
  • I did have some feelings while doing it, at certain points.

Thermage

  • Uses radio frequency (RF) waves.
  • Focuses on firming the skin and stimulating collagen production.
  • The results last for about 1-2 years.
  • Suitable for treating the superficial layers of the skin, causing it to contract and firm up.

Softwave

  • Uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam technology.
  • Focuses on firming the skin and reducing wrinkles.
  • The sensation during the procedure is similar to Ulthera.
  • Shorter treatment time.

Endolift

The main difference between Endolift and other machines. From the developer's information.

  • It uses a 1470nm laser that can directly access the fat layer.
  • It can dissolve fat while simultaneously tightening the skin.
  • There is less pain during the procedure.
  • A very small needle is used to introduce the laser into the skin.
  • Recovery is faster than with other treatments.

The price is high. Would a facelift be more worthwhile?

The answer to this question cannot be measured solely by price, as there are other factors that the doctor must evaluate and inform the patient honestly about the advantages and limitations. I believe every doctor wants to recommend the best option.

Facelift

Placed above the muscle, this method reduces postoperative pain but increases the likelihood of silicone detection and potential adhesions. There is also a higher risk of the breasts having a block-like appearance and sagging post-surgery.

  • The results are noticeable and long-lasting (5-10 years).
  • Effectively solves the problem of sagging skin.
  • It's worthwhile in the long run if you consider the longevity of the results.

Disadvantages:

  • Requires general anesthesia; there are risks associated with surgery.
  • Recovery time is 2-4 weeks.
  • There is a scar, although it's hidden along the hairline.
  • Complications may occur from the surgery.
  • If the results are unsatisfactory, it is difficult to correct.

Endolift

Placed above the muscle, this method reduces postoperative pain but increases the likelihood of silicone detection and potential adhesions. There is also a higher risk of the breasts having a block-like appearance and sagging post-surgery.

  • No surgery required; overall risk is low.
  • Short recovery period of 1-3 days.
  • No scars.
  • It can be repeated.
  • More natural, not too stiff.
  • Suitable for those who are beginning to experience early to moderate skin sagging.

Disadvantages:

  • The results do not last as long as surgery (1-2 years).
  • The price is high, and repeat treatments may be necessary to maintain the results.
  • The results may not be as clear as with surgery.

Choosing the program that's right for us.

  1. Consider age and skin type.
    • Young age/minor problems -> Skin tightening with a device might be suitable.
    • Older age/more significant problems -> Surgery might be a more suitable option.
  2. Consider the lifestyle.
    • Want to get back to work quickly? -> A body lift procedure might be suitable.
    • Long recovery period -> Surgery is an option.
  3. Consider the expectations.
    • For natural-looking results -> a skin tightening procedure might be suitable.
    • For very noticeable results -> Surgery might be more suitable.
  4. Consider the long-term budget.
    • Calculate the total cost if a repeat Endolift procedure is required.
    • Compared to the cost of a single surgery, the benefits last a long time.

Different technologies have different advantages; the choice depends on...

  • Skin problems that need to be addressed.
  • The readiness of the patient's skin condition.
  • Acceptable recovery time.
  • Budget

The doctor's sole intention in concluding this article is to say that new beauty innovations emerge every day. Regarding Endolift, which many of my patients have inquired about, as a cosmetic doctor, I believe that the best way to maintain beauty is to choose what is right for you, not just because it's the latest trend or technology.

Today, beauty technology is advancing rapidly, and each tool has its own strengths and limitations. Sometimes, new technology isn't always better than traditional methods. The important thing is to choose what suits your skin type, lifestyle, and needs.

Doctors believe that the role of cosmetic medicine is not just to recommend new technologies, but also to provide comprehensive and straightforward information so that patients can make informed decisions. Sometimes, established treatments that have proven effective may be more suitable than switching to a new treatment for which there is no long-term data on its results.

Finally, I would like to emphasize that lasting beauty comes from consistent self-care and choosing methods that suit you. It's not necessary to follow every trend, but it's important to research thoroughly and consult a specialist before making any decisions.

The doctor is happy to provide consultation and help plan a skincare routine that is suitable for each of you. Because lasting beauty comes from attentive care that is appropriate for you.
