Can't sunspots be removed by cauterization like skin tags?

Sunspots and skin tags are different. Sunspots are brown spots caused by sun exposure leading to overproduction of melanin under the skin. Skin tags, on the other hand, are raised bumps on the skin, similar to moles but not the same. Therefore, they require different treatments. Many patients still mistakenly believe they are the same thing.

    • Certain acids, such as TCA, can be used to help remove it.
    • Applying cream won't help.
    • Self-cutting with any non-medical device is not recommended.
