Sunspots and skin tags are not the same and require different treatments.

- Treatment:
- Use lasers such as Pico Laser or Q-Switched.
- Use products that reduce dark spots, such as retinoids or whitening agents.
- Protect your skin by applying sunscreen regularly.
Treating skin tags
- It is a benign skin tumor, appearing as a raised, brown or black bump with a rough surface.
- It can be caused by genetics or increasing age.
- Treatment:
- It can be removed with a CO2 laser.
- Electrocautery
- Certain acids, such as TCA, can be used to help remove it.
- Applying cream won't help.
- Self-cutting with any non-medical device is not recommended.
If you want to get rid of it, it's best to consult a doctor.
Sunspots cannot be removed by cauterization like skin tags because sunspots are a problem of pigmentation under the skin, while skin tags are skin tumors that can be removed directly by cauterization. If you want to treat sunspots, you should consult a dermatologist to choose the most appropriate method.
