I sweat easily under my armpits, even when working in an air-conditioned room. Would Botox help?
That's understandable. Many of my patients experience this; they sweat no matter how cold it is. This condition is called "excessive sweating," or medically termed "Hyperhidrosis." Especially in the armpits, it's called "Axillary Hyperhidrosis."
A simple, quick, and long-popular treatment is Botox injections, which are effective because Botox directly inhibits the function of the sweat glands, reducing sweating even in air-conditioned rooms or during various activities.
For the first treatment, the doctor recommends approximately 50-100 units per armpit, injected in small dots.Approximately 2-4 units depending on the hair follicles. The results last about 4-6 months. On average, 2-3 treatments are needed per year.
Before treatment, the doctor will perform a starch-iodine test on an area with excessive sweating to clearly identify the area that needs treatment.
If you need more information, you can visit the doctor at the clinic anytime.
